Time to Return to Yourself

I am someone who has the “luxury” of staying home these days (unlike nurses, doctors, supermarket staff, drivers, and all the other brave souls doing their best to keep us safe and healthy), and I wanted to use this precious time to write a few words that might prove helpful to anyone who needs them most!
It’s undeniable that we are experiencing a completely new and unknown global situation. A situation full of complexity and long-term consequences, with an unknown final outcome. It’s natural for this situation to give rise to feelings of anxiety, uncertainty, fear, worry, even depression (just to name a few).
This is understandable because we are dealing with “The Unknown.” A place we have never visited before. Solutions and obstacles reveal themselves to us daily, and there’s no one to reassure us or tell us what we must do. There’s no one to show us where the light at the end of the tunnel might be.
But you know something? There is someone. Someone very close to us. Not some authority, not an expert, not a government figure, or a scientist armed with statistics and numbers.
It’s our own self.
The self that has seen failures, gone through hard times, endured pain, suffering, and loss.
It’s the self that found inner guidance, strength, and courage to stand up again and smile over its achievements. Finding peace and comfort, only to lose them again at the next turn. Where life brings an unexpected opportunity in the form of a lesson, and the self must start all over again.
I use the word “self” here because we are so much more than the sum of our emotions. We are also wisdom, vibration, spirit.
Time to Return to Yourself
Emotions, as we know, are connected to our thoughts and go hand in hand in every situation.
Therefore, we must be careful about the type of thoughts we choose to nurture in our minds, because they will create corresponding emotions! If those thoughts are pleasant, good. But if they are not?
Then we suffer. It’s that simple. So, choose wisely if you want to stay afloat, or even consciously swim in the waters of your own destiny.
Life will bring countless situations, and it is up to us to actively decide if we will turn them into opportunities for growth, change, and, gradually, enlightenment.
No spirit will perceive the current situation in the same way. Just as no spirit has ever perceived any experience in the same way as the next one.
But every spirit can take a few minutes to reflect as it reads these words. To consider if it wants to use this period productively, taking advantage of every change in routine, every old or new thought that comes to light, every restriction faced daily, every spark of creativity that arrives to soothe a vulnerable heart.
Remember that you are not alone in this! Perhaps for the first time, people can connect around the same energetic vibration, facing (externally) similar situations.
Let’s seize this opportunity and find ways to use it for our personal development, for improving both our individual and collective karma.
Be patient. This too shall pass.
Be compassionate. You are only human, and it’s expected to feel all that you feel.
Be brave! Ask for help whenever you need it, from whoever you believe is the best choice for you at that moment.
And finally, don’t stop dreaming! You will have plenty of time to “make up for lost dreams” once life returns to a more stable routine. Make sure you’re building strong foundations NOW so that TOMORROW you can enjoy the fruits of your labor and proudly tell yourself that you never gave up on your goals, not even in the darkest moments.
Keep your light shining and life will go on, as always...
Blessings from a warm heart,
